On President's religion

Thanks for publishing my letter, President's religion on Nov. 5, 1998. In the second paragraph I wrote: "... The major hurdle, if any, to her (Sonia Gandhi) becoming the prime minister is the performance of her own party itself and not the nationality or religion of her birth." Unfortunately, the words "of her birth" were deleted. Since to hold the highest office in any country, one has to be the national of that country, the deletion has caused a serious flaw.
