On fraudulent Zwitsal contest

With reference to the letter from Mr. Moharomah of Kendal,
Central Java, published in the July 27, 2001 edition of The
Jakarta Post, PT Sara Lee Body Care Indonesia Tbk. (SLBCI) and
Sara Lee Indonesia (SLI) refute all claims of involvement in the
recently publicized Zwitsal contest.

SLBCI and SLI made a public announcement to this effect that
was printed in several major national newspapers, including the
Post on Friday, July 13, 2001.

SLBCI and SLI are not in any way responsible for or connected
with the fraudulent Zwitsal contest. SLBCI and SLI are not
conducting a Zwitsal-sponsored lottery program, and any claims
that they are doing so are false.

SLBCI and SLI state that the individuals mentioned in the
letters, Mr. Mulyawan NH, Mr. Arief Hidayat and Drs. Hatomi, are
not and never have been employees of SLBCI or SLI.

SLBCI and SLI would like to repeat its warning to the public
to be wary of unauthorized contests and encourages members of the
public to check with the related company before taking any
action.
