On ethnic Chinese and riots

Two recent articles in your paper "A thought for the rape victims" by Lynda Kurnia Wardhani (Sept. 16) and "Power dictates whether proof of rape exists" by Julia I. Suryakusuma (Sept. 17) remind me of the hectic polemic about Masli Arman's article Ethnic Chinese at fault for riots on July 30, 1998.

For a long time I have wanted to ask Masli Amran's opinion after reading all of the comments in his article. Is his opinion still the same, is he even more convinced or has he changed his opinion totally?

Because we are a democratic country, Masli Amran is entitled to convey his new stance and opinion which will certainly be interesting and useful for us all.
