On closing time deposit
My letter titled 'Phone banking which appeared' in The Jakarta Post on July 16 was edited in such a way that the main point I wanted to convey has gone. What I tried to say in the letter is that only at the Standard Chartered Bank, customers cannot close their time deposits through phone banking. Instead they must still go to the bank, fill out the forms and queue.
While both for Citibank and Hongkong Bank there is no need for customers to go to the bank to withdraw their time deposits.
