Ometraco's profit up 23.8%

JAKARTA (JP): Ometraco Corporation announced yesterday that
its net profit increased by 23.85 percent to Rp 24.4 billion
(US$10.8 million) in the first semester of this year from Rp 19.7
billion in the same period of last year.

Ometraco, a holding company focusing on consumer products,
infrastructure and financial services, said in a statement here
that its financial service revenues surged to Rp 36.3 billion in
the January-June period from Rp 7.2 billion in the same period of
1994.

Its profit from the non-financial service division increased
by 14 percent to Rp 42 billion.

Ometraco Corporation is 60 percent owned by the Santosa
family, with a strategic holding of 9.8 percent by Morgan Stanley
Capital Partners of the United States.(31)
