Olex wins $9m contract
JAKARTA (JP): Olex Cables has won a US$9-million contract to supply 1900 kilometers of fiber telecommunications cable to be installed throughout Central Java.
The Australian subsidiary of Pacific Dunlop Cables announced yesterday the contract was part of a three-year project by Mitra Global Telekomunikasi Indonesia to provide 400,000 new lines by 1999.
Besides supplying optical fiber cables for aerial, duct and direct buried installations, Olex will provide termination accessories, test instruments, training and supervision services. (hen)
