Ojek driver killed by passenger

JAKARTA (JP): an ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver was killed by his passenger, who then stole the victim's motorcycle, in Sukadanu village at Cibitung, Bekasi, at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

City Police member of staff Kohar identified the victim as Zaenal Abidin, 26. The suspect is still at large.

Kohar said an eyewitness, Abdul Rachman, who happened to be in the area, reported that Zaenal's passenger had struck Zaenal with a machete on the neck "till it nearly broke" and left him to die there.

The suspect then escaped with the motorcycle, a black Honda, Kohar said. (ylt)
