'Ojek' driver killed and robbed

TANGERANG (JP): An ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver was killed by
his own passenger at Kampung Waru, Cikupa district here
on Wednesday night in the second such attack this week.

The victim was identified as Sayuti, 35, a resident of
Telagasari village in Cikupa district. He was stabbed by the
passenger and his motorcycle was taken away.

One of the victim's friends, who declined to be named, said he
saw Sayuti for the last time when he transported the unidentified
passenger from his base on Jl. Raya Cikupa to Pasar Kemis.

"About five kilometers from the base, however, Sayuti, who had
been stabbed, was found dying by local residents," the man said.

Sayuti was rushed to Tangerang General Hospital, but died on
the way before getting proper medical help, he said.

Tangerang Police chief Lt. Col. Pudji Hartanto Iskandar
confirmed the killing, saying that his officers were currently
hunting the culprit. (41)
