Oil producing companies

In your Dec. 10, page 16 oil and gas article you list a number of oil and gas producing companies. The problem with the list is that you do not have your facts right.

When you mention that Pertamina oil production is 86,000 bpd, you should also know that this includes a large amount of oil produced through various joint ventures under EOR JOB contracts. There are six companies not listed that produce under such contracts with Pertamina.

We are one of the few Indonesian oil producing companies operating in Riau, Sumatra, and produce over 2,000 bpd under an EOR JOB contract. Strangely enough, some of the companies listed in your article do not even produce at all or produce very little.

Please give real Indonesian oil companies some well-deserved recognition in this industry.
