Odd telephone breakdowns

In the last several days there have been regular quiz programs on the RCTI television network. However, every time I wanted to use the telephone to answer a question it went dead. I have observed that this always happens when the announcer appears on the screen and lasts until somebody has come up with the right answer.

For three frustrating days I tried to answer the questions and always the telephone went dead until the quiz program was over. Imagine what could happen if during such breakdowns (possibly intentionally created by irresponsible people) an emergency such as a fire, an accident or an illness occurred?

We hope those in authority will explain or at least look into the matter.
