Obsession for fashion

People nowadays are so obsessed with fashion that they have started neglecting the vital things. Moral and ethical values are dissolved in the big ocean called fashion. Flattery sits in the parlor while plain dealing is kicked out the door.

Fashion leads to westernization, and westernization leads to frippery civilization said Vivekanda. Passion for fashion is just like catching a falling knife; it is better to leave it.

People are madly going after fashion just to be called modern. A friend of mine was prepared to buy an expensive long-wearing lipstick, but she refused to give money for her maid's sick child. Should even humanity die before the so-called fashion?

If a woman's dressing table is filled with such expensive cosmetics, a man's wardrobe is incomplete without costly neckties. If men and women could give up their desires for luxury and fashion, then thousands of people could be saved from the vortex of destitution. The secret of life is not self-enjoyment. The real enjoyment is when you bring joy to hundreds and thousands of hearts. To do good with unselfishness is necessary, rather than having an unnecessary passion for fashion.
