Obituary: Former attorney general dies

JAKARTA: Former attorney general Singgih passed away on Saturday
at the age of 74 at Siloam Gleneagles Hospital in Tangerang,
where he was being treated for a stroke.

Attorney General's Office spokesman R.J. Suhandoyo said that
Singgih died at 3:15 p.m.

His body has been taken to his residence in Cempaka Putih,
Central Jakarta, and will be interred on Sunday at Kalibata
Heroes Cemetery after a ceremony at the Attorney General's Office
in South Jakarta.

Singgih was appointed to the post by former president
Soeharto, and became the nation's 14th attorney general, serving
from 1990 to 1998. -- Antara
