Noted artist Bagong dies

Coreographer Bagong dies: Bagong Kussudiardjo, one of the country's greatest artists, died at 11 p.m. on Tuesday at Bethesda Hospital in Yogyakarta. He was 75, and is survived by seven children.

Bagong was rushed to the hospital last week due to a combination of liver and lung problems as well as diabetes. He will be buried on Wednesday in a cemetery for artists in Imogiri district, Bantul, which he helped build. -- JP
