Not good program for children
Not good program for children
I was deeply disturbed by a reality crime show aired by Metro
TV on May 25. It showed a street prostitute and her client who
were nabbed by policemen at night. Surprized by the arrest, the
prostitute and her client had to put their clothes on in a hurry.
Unfortunately, they accidentally put on each other's underwear.
The camera remained on, filming all of this. The prostitute
grumbled, not only because her client had not paid her yet but
also because they had exchanged underwear unintentionally. Her
client, meanwhile, laughed like he had no problem at all. The
camera remained on as they arrived at the police station and then
followed the pair into the toilet as they changed clothes.
What I'm concerned about is the lack of responsibility TV
crews have when handling news and current affairs. I didn't see
any news value in this program, which only offered
sensationalism. The worst thing was it aired at noon when
children could watch.
