North Barito to get new power plant

NORTH BARITO, Central Kalimantan: A company from the Netherlands plans to invest in the construction of a steam-powered power plant in the regency, a top official said on Friday.

North Barito Regent Achmad Yuliansyah said the foreign company and its local partners would conduct a feasibility study in Kandui, Gunung Tomang district here.

The feasibility study, which is expected to cost Rp 700 million, will be performed by Indonesian company PT Karunia Power Abadi. -- Antara
