Noodles lack nutrients

I refer to Mr. Odo Fadloeli's letter, "Making a meal of noodles", published in The Jakarta Post, Feb. 26, 1999. I agree with you, and I love noodles too. However, the list of nutrients in a packet of Indomie is short in protein, has no vitamin C and no minerals.

An adult needs one gram of protein per kilogram of body weight every day.

To make the meal nutritionally complete you should add a piece of meat or some shrimps or eggs, and green vegetables and fruit.

I advise you to consult a nutritionist or a dietitian at a hospital or public health clinic.
