Nominees for TV awards announces

JAKARTA (JP): Two comedy series grabbed 12 nominations for the awards in this year's Indonesian Sinetron Festival, the highest award for TV programs.

The nomination for both Mat Angin and Angkot Haji Imron II (Haj Imron's Minivan II) was announced Tuesday night and was broadcast live by the five private television stations.

Three other nominated comedy series were Satu Atap Seribu Wajah (One Roof, A Thousand Faces), Fatima and Keluarga Miring (Crazy Family).

Nominees for the single drama category are Kado Istimewa (A Special Gift, 10 nominations), Mencari Pelangi (Looking for a Rainbow), Dalam Bayangan Ibu (In Mother's Shadow), Penari (Dancer) and Buku Catatanku (My Diary).

For the drama series, Api Cinta Antonio Blanco (Antonio Blanco's Burning Love) won nine nominations, followed by Serpihan Mutiara Retak (Broken Pearl Pieces), Kupu-kupu Kertas (Paper Butterflies), Istri Pilihan (Selected Wife) and Cermin (Mirror).

Directors who are nominated under the single drama category are Enison Sinaro (Kado Istimewa), Harry Dagoe Suharyadi (Mencari Pelangi), Sam Sarumpaet (Dalam Bayangan Ibu), Nan Triveni Achnas (Penari) and Ucik Supra (Senja Kesaksian).

The nominated actors for the single drama category are Ayez Kassar (Dalam Bayangan Ibu), Bangun Sugito (Buku Catatanku), Butet Kartaredjasa (Citraksi & Citraksa), Jerio Jeffri (Beranda Kita, Our Verandah) and Yadi Timo (Bersama Ini, Together); for the actress: Dewi Yull (Beranda Kita), Lola Amaria (Penari), Niniek L. Karim (Dalam Bayangan Ibu), Putri Dewina Santi (Buku Catatanku) and Rima Melati (Kado Istimewa).

For the serial drama category the nominated actors are Cok Simbara (Cintailah Daku, Love Me), Jeremy Thomas (Istri Pilihan, Selected Wife), Roy Marten (Kupu-kupu Kertas) and Ronnie Sianturi (Serpihan Mutiara Retak); the nominated actress are Cynthia Maramis (Kupu-kupu Kertas), Ni Ketut Melati (Api Cinta Antonia Blanco), Nurul Arifin (Cintailah Daku), Raslina Rasidin (Air Mata Ibu, Mother's Tears), and Renny Djayusman (Cermin).

For the actors in the comedy series category, the nominees are Deddy Mizwar (Mat Angin), Didi Petet (Keluarga Miring), Fachrul Rozy (Angkot Haji Imron II), Jaja Miharja (Satu Atap Seribu Wajah), and Polo (Sketsa Orang Kota, Sketches of Urban People), while the actresses are Anggia Jelita (Mat Angin), Chiata Hendrayani (Fatima), Elma Theana (Mama), Inneke Koesherawati (Satu Atap Seribu Wajah), and Nona Alkhar (Angkot Haji Imron II).
