Nokia markets new cell phone

JAKARTA (JP): Nokia Mobile Phones Indonesia launched on Wednesday a new mobile phone amid growing competition in the country's cellular phone market.

The company's general manager, Alexander Lambeek, said the Nokia 7110, one of several mobile phone series the company sold in Indonesia since early last year, offered a feature enabling users to access the Internet.

He said the launching of the new cellular phone would further strengthen the company's foothold in the country's cellular phone market.

"We are now the market leader in the country and we are sure our market will continue to grow in the future," he said.

The Nokia 7110 also provides a wireless data service, phone internal applications, network related telephony services, content format for data transfer and secure transactions for banking, trading and reservations. (06)
