Nokia 8210: Deadly 4th element
My Nokia 8210 cell phone frequently disconnects when on-line and has abrupt operation failures. I have to turn it on again to make further calls, which is very annoying.
I took it to the Nokia Professional Center, Plaza Indonesia, on April 4 and was told that the trouble might originate in three elements of the phone, which may have to be replaced.
If this attempt fails, the fourth element will have to be checked by removing it first. This last resort could either solve the problem or render the cell phone completely inoperative.
I agreed to the low-risk replacement of the three elements before making any other decision. Though I had no objection to the cost estimate, the spare parts had to be ordered weeks in advance to secure their availability.
What I cannot understand is why Nokia, with its global fame, is unable to provide satisfactory service for its consumers with such a simple problem, while forcing them to face the disastrous risk of total cell phone damage.
