No plan yet for ravaged market
BOGOR, West Java (JP): The Bogor administration has yet to decide whether it will renovate or demolish the Kebon Kembang market, which was ravaged by fire in March, Mayor Eddy Gunardi said.
"The administration is still waiting for the result of work carried out by the research and development agency of the Directorate General of Human Settlements," Eddy told a press conference yesterday.
He was accompanied by the head of the Bogor District Prosecutors Office, Umar, and the Bogor city police chief, Lt. Col. Zainal Abidin.
Fire destroyed the Kebon Kembang market in March and claimed the lives of 10 employees of the Ramayana department store.
When asked about the dossier on the people who are being accused of negligence which led to the death of the shop attendants, Umar told The Jakarta Post that the police have yet to complete the dossiers. (21/26)
