No pastures in the city: Mayor

JAKARTA (JP): Central Jakarta Mayor Abdul Kafi yesterday
shooed away seven goat traders along Jl. K.H. Mas Mansyur in an
order and cleanliness raid.

According to Abdul, an alternative site by the Melati dam in
Central Jakarta has been designated for sellers of sacrificial
goats to trade for the upcoming Idul Adha celebration which falls
on Sunday. During the celebration Moslems slaughter goats and
distribute the meat to the poor.

Hassan, one of the goat sellers, said that a city official is
involved in coordinating the "flocks" of goat traders along
Jl.K.H. Mas Mansyur. (14)
