No one claims headless body

JAKARTA (JP): City Police Chief Maj. Gen. Hamami Nata said yesterday that the headless body of a boy found Saturday had yet to be identified and no one has claimed it as one of their relatives'.

Hamami said that police had found it difficult to identify the body of the teenager as the head is still missing.

The headless body was found on Jl. Ngurah Rai, Klender, East Jakarta last Saturday. Police assumed that the body was of a street child.

A forensic expert, Dr. Mun'im Idris, has said that the boy had been sodomized before being beheaded.

Last year a man, identified as Siswanto, alias Robot Gedek, was arrested for killing street children after sodomizing them. He is now awaiting trial.

Most of Siswanto's victims, found in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, suffered from wounds to the stomach. (sur)
