No nudes is bad news for NY

NEW YORK (Reuter): Over the objections of civil libertarians who see New York as a bastion of free expression, the City Council imposed a one-year moratorium on the expansion of the sex business.

Councillors approved restricting for one year the opening or expansion of existing topless bars, theaters offering nude dancing, and stores selling X-rated videos.

"No one would have thought this would happen in New York City," said the New York Civil Liberties Union. "This is a sad day for free speech."
