Nissan offers bird's eye view

TOKYO: Just when you thought in-car navigation systems couldn't get any more sophisticated, along comes Nissan.

It has developed a new "stereoscopic Birdview" navigation systems that has three-dimensional color displays of topographical features, enabling drivers to see the terrain and the route at a glance.

It will be standard equipment on a new luxury sedan being released next month.
