NISP books Rp 27.6b profit

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed bank NISP announced on Wednesday a 77 percent increase in net profit to Rp 27.6 billion (US$2.9 million) in the first nine months of the year.

The bank said in a statement that credit disbursement rose 91.8 percent to Rp 2.6 trillion in the first months of the year, from Rp 1.35 trillion in the corresponding period of last year.

The credit was channeled into the industrial sector (40 percent), trading sector (31 percent), service sector (17 percent) and others (12 percent).

The bank said that total assets grew by 27 percent to Rp 4.75 trillion as of Sept. 30, this year from Rp 3.74 trillion in the same month last year while the third party's funds rose to Rp 3.5 trillion from Rp 2.6 trillion.

It said its capital adequacy ratio (CAR) reached 10.88 percent at the end of September this year, higher than the four percent to eight percent CAR level required by the central bank.

The loan to deposit ratio (LDR) reached 56.23 percent at the end of September this year, compared to 29.75 percent at the end of September last year. (jsk)
