Nine children die from dengue

KUDUS, Central Java: Nine children have died in dengue fever
outbreaks in at least three towns in Central Java, health
officials said on Friday.

Three died in Kudus, four in Demak and two in Semarang, they
reported.

A member of the Central Java legislative council, Istadjib,
urged the administration to contain the disease and to offer
subsidized medical treatment and medicine to the victims.
