NGO urges closure of Tangerang spots

TANGERANG: The group Front of Tangerang Saviors urged the authorities to close down dozens of entertainment spots in Pinangsia, Karawaci.

"The entertainment spots violate Bylaw No. 5/2001 on the tourist industry ... the authorities should take legal action," group chairman Mahdi Ardianysah was quoted as saying by Tempointeraktif.com on Sunday.

He said the entertainment spots did not have licenses to operate in the area. -- JP
