'Ngeres Linu' tops 'jamu' stand sales

JAKARTA (JP): What is the most popular herbal concoction at
the jamu stand at the House of Representatives building? Not
surprisingly it is the Ngeres Linu brew which helps ease aches
and stiffness.

"Guaranteed to rid you of aches and pains, making you ready
for another round of meetings," a female attendant told an
interested Assembly member.

Such has been the popularity of the jamu stand from the start
of the General Session there has always a queue in front of it.

It has even become an impromptu lobbying place as Assembly
members are trapped in line while waiting for their daily dose of
the traditional Javanese herbal drink. (mds)
