New water customers offered discounts

JAKARTA (JP): PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya, which is in charge of tap
water management in West Jakarta, is offering a 45 percent
discount on connection fees to new customers.

The discount is being offered to customers of all rating
categories and those paying cash in advance, the company
announced on Monday.

Without mentioning the amount charged for connection, the firm
said the discount, which is available until the end of next
month, applies to potential customers in areas where expansion
and renovation programs are being carried out.

According to the company, expansion programs are underway in
Tomang, MH Thamrin and Daan Mogot vicinities, while renovation
programs are underway in Harmoni, Tubagus Angke, Pondok Indah and
Prapanca.

Aside from the connection charge, prospective customers are
required to pay a customer's guarantee, ranging from Rp 31,000
(for households) to Rp 212,000 (for commercial areas). (hhr)
