New rates for tax payment

JAKARTA (JP): The government issued yesterday a new official conversion rates as the basis for the payment of import duty, value-added tax on goods and services, sales tax on luxury goods, export and income taxes.

The Ministry of Finance decree No. 511/KMK.014/1997, stated yesterday that the new conversion rates would be valid for one week from Oct. 13 to Oct. 19.
