New home for the JSX almost completed

JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) plans to move its operations to its new building, which is now in the final stage of construction, in January next year.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance Yusuf Anwar (holding a mockup of the building) yesterday dedicated the topping of the building in a ceremony attended by Hasan Zein Mahmud (left), the president of the JSX, Santoso Gunara (right) and Rustam Effendi (second from right), respectively the president and chief commissioner of PT Danareksa Jakarta International.

The construction of the Jakarta Stock Exchange Building is scheduled for completion in December.

The building, which will have two towers with thirty-two stories each, is part of Danareksa's mega-realty project to develop a US$3.3 billion Central Business District on a 40.4- hectare plot near the intersection of Jl. Sudirman and Jl. Gatot Subroto.

Around 70 percent of the available space of the Jakarta Stock Exchange Building has been already booked by prospective tenants, including a number of multinational companies .(hen)
