New gasoline launched

JAKARTA (JP): Elnusa Petrofin, a subsidiary of state oil and gas company Pertamina, has introduced a new unleaded gasoline for motorbikes.

The product, called Bensin Biru 2 Langkah, was launched Tuesday by the head of Pertamina's marketing and provision unit for Jakarta and West Java, Harry Purnomo, in Depok.

Production of the unleaded gasoline is part of Pertamina's participation in the government's Blue Sky antipollution campaign, Harry was quoted by Antara as saying.

The gasoline sells for Rp 600 (7 U.S. cents) per liter.

Harry said the product was first launched in Sumatra last December. (jsk)
