New dump trucks, carts in Tangerang

TANGERANG: Tangerang Mayor M. Thamrin has handed over 13
rubbish trucks and 679 garbage carts to 13 district heads to deal
with worsening garbage problems in the municipality.

"I hope the new trucks and carts will help district heads
control garbage dumping in their respective areas," Thmarin said
on Monday.

He said the additional transportation devices were expected to
help take rubbish to the Rawa Kucing dump site.

Tangerang Sanitary Agency head Dadang Setiawan said that
without the additional trucks and carts, only half of the city's
320 cubic meters of rubbish produced daily could be transported.
