New contraceptive pill promoted

SEMARANG, Central Java: The Central Java provincial administration will promote a new contraceptive pill from the Netherlands to improve the family planing program in the province, Antara reported.

Head of Central Java's Association of Family Planning, Untung Praptohardjo, said here Saturday that the Dutch contraceptive pills can be used for three days after unprotected sex.

He said the new pills would be distributed to several family planning centers in Klaten, Tegal, Pemalang, and Semarang districts. (mds)
