New condo with high technology
JAKARTA (JP): Four South Jakarta condominium towers, scheduled to be lived in by the middle of next year, will provide residents with the most sophisticated telecommunications and security systems, the developer said yesterday.
The towers are equipped with the Australian-designed Home Automation System. This is the first time the system has been used in Indonesia although it has been widely used in the United States, Singapore and Japan, said Sutrisno, president of developer Puri Casablanca.
The system enables residents to operate the apartment's lighting system and electrical appliances via telephone.
"The residents can switch on air conditioners and lights from anywhere in the world by pressing the digital codes on a touch tone dial," Sutrisno said.
Another features is the Passive Infra Red sensory system which detects every movement in the room so when a person walks in, the lights automatically come on, he said.
In the event of a fire or burglary the alarm system can automatically call four phone numbers saved by the residents in the system's memory, Sutrisno said.
"Residents can put in the numbers of their cellular phone, their relatives' number, or the apartment's round the clock security guards in the system's memory," he said.
Puri Casablanca is located in the middle of the "golden triangle" (the rapidly growing business area between Jl.Jend. Sudirman, Jl. Rasuna Said, and Jl. Gatot Subroto). More than half of the 988 units have been sold for US$1,200 per square meter.
The developer expects to sell 75 percent of the units by next June, leaving the remaining 25 percent for rent. (04)
