New commander of mobile brigade

Head of the city police Maj. Gen. Hindarto installed Lt. Col
Sukirno as commander of the city police Mobile Brigade over the
weekend.

Sukirno replaces Lt. Col. Wenas, who has been made head of the
South Jakarta police precinct.

Sukirno, who hails from Banjarnegara, Central Java, graduated
from the police academy in 1974, the police college PTIK in 1983,
and the Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad) in 1984.

Sukirno used to be a commander of the Mobile Brigade Platoon
in 1978 before moving to Central Kalimantan as head of general
affairs of criminal investigations in 1989. (22)
