New book on rape cases

BANDARLAMPUNG, Lampung: The Institute for Studies on Advocacy for Women and Children (ELSAPA) in Lampung, in cooperation with the Institute for Social and Economic Information, Education and Research (LP3ES), is preparing a special book on Human Rights and crimes of rape and terror perpetrated against women.

The institution's spokesman, Ikram, was quoted by Antara as saying on Thursday that materials for the book were being collected including from seminars on the issue.

The two organizations have conducted two seminars on rape and violation of women's rights. Speakers said one rape takes place every five days across Indonesia.
