National car on credit
After 50 years of independence Indonesia is showing rapid development in many fields: technology, science, business, and education. Indonesian citizens should feel proud of the country's achievements which have given the nation dignity and prosperity.
Education has played a big part in the formation of human resources for development. It is regrettable that people tend to prefer working in companies rather than in schools as teachers. In Indonesia some people say that teachers are unsung heroes because they generally earn little and show much dedication.
Last year teachers were happy to hear the good news that the government launched its national car policy to be produced by PT Timor Putra. But despite its competitive price, the car is still beyond the purchasing power of teachers.
I would like to appeal to PT Timor Putra to grant special terms or credit to teachers in order that the national car becomes affordable to them.
