Five years old my daughter is

She came to me and a question she raised

asked this morning with dread in her face

Papa, you know Katrin my best friend

with whom the music class I together attend?

Papa, in class she yesterday wept,

sobbed and in her despair she to me shared

Papa, by the cathedral her school is

people have stormed and smashed the place

Papa, look how grieved Katrin is

she cannot learn and go to Sunday school services

Papa, why such an act those people did

to my friend's school they mobbed and ruined?

Five years old my daughter is

she drove me speechless her question hits

to a kid her age what sound answer fits?
