Musical show on Ramayana legend

JAKARTA (JP): A musical show on the traditional legend of
Rama and Shinta is to be performed at the Maxima stage in Ancol
amusement park from Dec. 24 to 30.

Widodo, a marketing employee of Ancol amusement park, said
yesterday that the show, which was created by N. Riantiarno, will
be part of an introduction to a new section of the park.

He explained that the new section, called Rama Shinta, will
be opened in June next year. A musical show will be held every
Saturday night ahead of the formal opening of the section.

Riantiarno, a well-known director, said the 45-minute show
will be done in a futuristic way to attract a younger audience.
There will also be various types of music, such as rap, disco and
jazz.

He explained that basically people come to the park to enjoy
various facilities and not to watch musical drama, therefore
there should be extraordinary entertainment to attract them.
