Munchen promotes Bauma 2001
JAKARTA (JP): Organizers of the Bauma 2001 trade exhibition for construction machinery and building materials made a presentation before Indonesian entrepreneurs on Thursday on why they should visit the German city of Munchen in April next year.
The event, held every three years, will feature new and innovative products from 2,000 exhibitors as well as a symposium by the German Congress for Construction Equipment.
Manfred Wutzlhofer, president and CEO of Messe Munchen International, predicted 380,000 people from over 130 countries, including 7,200 from Asia, would visit the trade show.
The German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Ekonid) is sponsoring Indonesian entrepreneurs intending to take part as visitors.
"We understand that property business in Indonesia is slowing down. Transfer of the technology will be more favorable for Indonesian visitors," Ekonid managing director F. Kleinsteuber said.
A similar expo called Baucon 2001 by the same organizers will be held in Singapore in November. (02)
