Mulia to boost capacity

JAKARTA (JP): PT Mulia Industrindo said that it will increase
its production capacity from 67,000 to 120,000 square meters of
ceramic tiles per day with the operation of its second and third
plants.

The company said in a statement that total investment for the
two new production lines is US$80 million.

The company's president, Rudi Djaja, said that the two plants
have a combined daily capacity of 53,000 square meters and will
start commercial production by the end of this year.

Mulia Keramik is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mulia
Industrindo.

Rudi said that the company also plans to set up a fourth plant
next year with a planned production capacity of 30,000 square
meters per day.

Rudi added that up to 80 percent of Mulia Keramik's ceramic
production, both floor and wall ceramic tiles, is sold
domestically. (alo)
