Mulia to boost capacity
JAKARTA (JP): PT Mulia Industrindo said that it will increase its production capacity from 67,000 to 120,000 square meters of ceramic tiles per day with the operation of its second and third plants.
The company said in a statement that total investment for the two new production lines is US$80 million.
The company's president, Rudi Djaja, said that the two plants have a combined daily capacity of 53,000 square meters and will start commercial production by the end of this year.
Mulia Keramik is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mulia Industrindo.
Rudi said that the company also plans to set up a fourth plant next year with a planned production capacity of 30,000 square meters per day.
Rudi added that up to 80 percent of Mulia Keramik's ceramic production, both floor and wall ceramic tiles, is sold domestically. (alo)
