Mulia Industrindo's sales up

JAKARTA (JP): PT Mulia Industrindo, a publicly-listed
manufacturer of ceramic tiles and glass products, announced
yesterday a 73 percent increase in its sales revenue to Rp 227
billion (US$98 million) in the first half of this year.

The company said the significant increase was due mainly to
the commercial production of its new plants, including its second
block glass factory (with an annual capacity of 21,600 tons),
second bottle glass production unit (57,600 tons), second flat
glass production unit (216,000 tons) and first floor ceramic tile
plant (5.4 million square meters).

No profit figures were presented, however. (alo)
