Muladi to attend corruption summons

JAKARTA: Responding to a summons from the interdepartmental anticorruption team, National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) Governor Muladi denied on Saturday any involvement in a graft case at the State Secretariat.

Muladi, who was the state secretary during B.J. Habibie's administration, said he had never issued any approval letter regarding the transfer of a land concession in the Bung Karno Sports Stadium complex to PT Indobuild, owned by businessman Pontjo Sutowo, from the State Secretariat's control.

He said the letter was "faked by my (direct) predecessor", adding that he would therefore file a lawsuit against him after attending his summons on Tuesday.

Muladi was replaced by Ali Rahman, who was only in office for around three months during the administration of Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid. --JP
