Muladi faces graft probe

JAKARTA: Former state secretary Muladi will be summoned in relation to graft cases at the State Secretariat, the interdepartmental anticorruption team said on Friday.

Team chief Hendarman Supandji, also the deputy attorney general for special crimes, said investigators would question Muladi, who served as the state secretary during the Habibie administration.

The probe into Muladi, currently the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) governor, will focus on the transfer of a land concession in the Bung Karno Sports Stadium complex to PT Indobuild owned by businessman Pontjo Sutowo from the control of the State Secretariat,

Prosecutors have questioned former Jakarta governor Ali Sadikin in the same case. The probe into the State Secretariat had been halted for several months reportedly due to late audit reports from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). --JP
