Muhammadiyah upset by TV quiz

JAKARTA (JP): A Moslem group has protested a TVRI quiz show in which a man was told to massage three different women to allow contestants to tell which one was his wife.

The Surabaya branch of Muhammadiyah has sent a letter of protest to the state television network complaining about the scene on the quiz show "Siapa Dia?" (Guess Which) on July 8.

The letter said the gestures shown during the show were unethical, according to the Antara news agency.

Quiz show participants asked the man to perform other tasks, such as dancing with the three women. Another time, the women were asked to pinch the man's noses.

The responses were suppose to give clue to the contestants as to which of the three women was the man's wife. (prs)
