Motorola touts new handset

JAKARTA (JP): The United States-based mobile communications firm PT Motorola Indonesia launched on Thursday a new handset; the Motorola Talkabout T2688.

The company's marketing manager for consumer solutions group, Yanty Agus, said the new handphone was designed for people who were not expecting advance features as they simply needed the handsets for making and receiving calls.

The Motorola Talkabout T2688 weighs only 90 grams and features some functions such as dual bandwidth technologies the GSM 900 and GSM 1800, alarm and various ringer tones. (cst)
