Motorcycles thieves nabbed

JAKARTA (JP): Police have apprehended a gang of motorcycle
thieves in the Kemayoran district of Central Jakarta.

Central Jakarta Police Lt. Col. Abubakar Nataprawira said
yesterday that the thieves are identified as Don, 18, Moh, 21,
and Ras, 22.

"Don was apprehended on July 12, while stealing a motorcycle
from a low-cost apartment complex in Kemayoran," Abubakar said.

The other thieves were apprehended three hours later at their
house on Jl. Bendungan Dempet.

Police also seized the thieves' motorcycles, he said.

During a preliminary interrogation, the thieves admitted to
having stolen six motorcycles since last year, he added. (jun)
