Motorbikes donated to mayoralty

JAKARTA (JP): One hundred motorcycles worth Rp 430 million
(US$183,000) will be donated to the North Jakarta mayoralty
office, the Jakarta Military Command and the Jakarta Police
Headquarters today.

PT Federal Motor, a producer of Honda motorcycles, is to
deliver the motorcycles in conjunction with its 25th anniversary.

Federal Motor Vice President Ridwan Gunawan said the
presentation "is our form of appreciation toward the government"
for encouraging the company to locally produce motorcycles.

The firm produces the Japanese motorcycles under license.

Governor Surjadi Soedirdja will receive the donation in the
inauguration of the new 14-story building which houses the North
Jakarta mayoralty.

The company is now opening an engineering school in East
