Motocross race to resume in Lido

JAKARTA (JP): The national motocross championships will resume at Lido lake resort in Bogor, West Java from April 10 to April 12.

It will be the second of four races to be staged this year. Championship organizers had originally planned to run the second round race in Padang, West Sumatra.

The event promoter Tendypromo Mandira said yesterday that defending champion Irwan Ardiansyah, former champion Johny Pranata and opening race winner Aep Dadang will compete at Lido, vying for Rp 14 million (US$1,400) in prize money.

Participants will be divided into 250 cc and 80 cc categories. The organizers have promised to invite foreign competitors to the event. (emf)
